SCAHACC Spring Tune-Up Workshop

Date:  5/3/2012  10:00 - 2:45
Location:  Columbia Conference Center

This year the association will concentrate its training efforts on the business-side of things. We know these topics are not always viewed as the most popular, but they are NECESSARY. Please consider attending and bringing your office manager or administrative staff who help you handle these items - and keep you out of trouble (i.e., paying penalties and fines). The topics outlined below are considered timely as the summer crush that's coming may cause many of you to need to increase their numbers of employees and staff. You may need to hire quickly or choose to subcontract the work. What paperworkis required to protect you and your company? What are the rules about paying someone and issuing a 1099 versus when do they become an employee and you have to pay taxes? What are the "need to knows" about overtime? This half day workshop should provide you and your administrative staff with a "tune up" just in time for the summer crush that we are all anticipating -and hoping for!
